Dr. Chelsea Field

Dr. Chelsea Field is an associate veterinarian that started at Middlesex County Animal Hospital in March of 2026. She has been working as a veterinarian in Massachusetts since 2019, focusing on providing the highest quality of care for her patients.

Dr Field spent her younger years in Rhode Island, completing her Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Veterinary Sciences from the University of Rhode Island. She then moved to St. Kitts for 3 years to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Field is also certified in fear free medicine practices, giving nervous dogs and cats the ability to be comfortable in a hospital setting by reducing fear, anxiety and stress.

Dr. Field loves working as a general practitioner, with special interests in animal behavior, dermatology, ophthalmology, preventative care, dentistry and surgery. Her primary goal is to provide high quality, specialized care for each pet and their parents to consistently grow the relationship between veterinarian and patient. She prefers a collaborative approach to care, communicating with pet parents throughout the exam, work-up and diagnosis process to ensure parents are informed and included.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Field spends her spare time going on hikes with her significant other and their two dogs, Porter and Ederra. She also enjoys skiing, paddleboarding, kayaking and travelling as well as taking part in extreme sports like skydiving. When she is not outdoors, she is spending time at home making puzzles, reading and watching hockey while cuddling with her cats (Finn and Rey) and dogs on the couch.
