Katrina (known as Kat to her friends and family) joined MCAH in January of 2026 and we are so happy to have her apart of our team! Kat earned her Bachelors Degree in Zoology with a Creative Writing minor from the University of Maine and is currently enrolled in college to obtain her Certification in Veterinary Technology. Kat has been working with animals since 2018, ranging from general practice to exotic pet and wildlife medicine, and even zoo medicine! Kat enjoys being actively involved in the care of animals of all kinds. Kat says that being a veterinary technician provides her with the skillset to do so and truly loves what she does for work. 

Kats hobbies include traveling, hiking, writing, and all things conservation. Kat has even been involved with conservation projects around the world! Kat and her husband Chris share a siberian husky named Palu, a lepard gecko named Furfur, and even a jumping spider named Peanut.
