Mary P.

Mary has been working in the veterinary field since 2009 and has been a valued member of the Middlesex County Animal Hospital team since 2016. Throughout her career, she has taken on many different roles within the hospital. Her extensive knowledge, dedication, and passion for animal care have made her an important part of our team.

Mary currently serves as Dr. Heckerling’s lead veterinary nurse, working closely with him to provide exceptional care to every patient. She brings years of hands-on experience and a genuine commitment to both patients and their families.

Mary attended the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where she focused her studies on psychology and animal science. During her time in school, she quickly discovered that her love of animals was more than just a passion—it was something she wanted to make a lifelong career.

Outside of the hospital, Mary shares her home with her son, their two dogs, Massimo and Bella, and their two cats. She is extremely passionate about fitness and enjoys staying active in her free time. Two of her favorite activities are CrossFit and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Whether she’s caring for patients or pursuing her passions outside of work, Mary brings energy, dedication, and enthusiasm to everything she does.
